A Mobile Legends name style is your in-game name rewritten with fancy Unicode letters and decorative symbols — for example ꧁༒☬ 𝐑𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 ☬༒꧂ or 「 ✦ Kᴀʀᴀɴ ✦ 」. Type your name in the tool above and tap a result to copy it, ready to paste into Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. Every sample name on this page has been counted against the rename box’s character limit, so nothing here is too long to use. What is a Mobile Legends name style?
A Mobile Legends name style is a version of your in-game name built from special Unicode characters — bold, cursive, small-caps and gothic letters, plus symbol frames such as ꧁ ꧂ and ༺ ༻. It is not a font you install and it does not modify the game. The styled letters already exist in the Unicode standard, so Mobile Legends: Bang Bang reads them as ordinary text and displays them on your profile and in the lobby. “Name style”, “stylish name” and “fancy name” all describe the same thing.
The catch that most name lists ignore is length. Decorated names are longer than they look, and the rename box will simply refuse anything over the limit — which is why every card on this page carries its own character count.
MLBB name style: what actually fits in the rename box
Mobile Legends in-game names are widely reported to accept roughly 4 to 16 characters, and a decorative frame is charged against that same budget. Styled letters are cheap: a bold or cursive letter is still one character, so restyling your name costs nothing extra. Frames are what break a name.
We measured every style in this page’s generator on 16 August 2026. Restyling alone never changes the count:
| Style | Your name styled | Characters used | Fits a 16-char box? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plain (no styling) | Rayan | 5 | Yes |
| Bold | 𝐑𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 | 5 | Yes |
| Cursive / script | 𝓡𝓪𝔂𝓪𝓷 | 5 | Yes |
| Gothic (fraktur) | 𝕽𝖆𝖞𝖆𝖓 | 5 | Yes |
| Small caps | ʀᴀʏᴀɴ | 5 | Yes |
| Double-struck | ℝ𝕒𝕪𝕒𝕟 | 5 | Yes |
Frames are the expensive part. Here is what each frame costs and how many letters it leaves you under a 16-character ceiling:
| Frame | Characters the frame itself costs | Letters left for your name |
|---|---|---|
| ꧁ … ꧂ | 4 | 12 |
| ༺ … ༻ | 4 | 12 |
| ⚔ … ⚔ | 4 | 12 |
| ⋆༺ … ༻⋆ | 6 | 10 |
| 「 ✦ … ✦ 」 | 8 | 8 |
| ꧁༒☬ … ☬༒꧂ | 8 | 8 |
| ▄︻デ … ══━一 | 9 | 7 |
A worked example: ꧁༒☬ 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 ☬༒꧂ is 17 characters and will be rejected, while the same frame around a shorter core — ꧁༒☬ 𝐑𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 ☬༒꧂ at 13 — goes through. If a name you like is too long, drop the outer frame before you shorten the name itself.

Reports of the exact ceiling vary a little between regions and updates, and some players describe hitting a 20-character message instead. Treat 16 as the safe working number and check the count on the card before you spend a rename card.

Tap any card to copy it. The number on each card is its exact character count, so you can see at a glance whether it fits. These are samples — put your own name in the generator at the top of the page for the same styles applied to it.
Sweaty and pro MLBB names
The bracket look is the most recognisable competitive style in Mobile Legends, and it is also the most expensive in characters — which is why these use short cores.
Mobile Legends name style for boys
Blade and bracket frames with bold or small-caps letters, all inside the limit.
Mobile Legends stylish names for girls
Lighter frames — sparkles and soft brackets — with cursive and small-caps letters.
MLBB squad and clan tags
Short capitalised tags stay readable when they sit next to a player name in the lobby.
MLBB name symbols
These are the individual symbols behind the frames above — crowns, stars, blades, wings and bracket halves. Tap one to copy it, then paste it around your name to build a frame of your own. Remember each symbol you add is one more character out of your budget.

Some symbols look like empty boxes in a browser but render correctly on a phone. That is a font gap on the device showing them, not a broken character — paste it into the game or a chat app to see the real shape before you discard it.
How to change your name in Mobile Legends
Changing your name in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang needs a rename item, not just a new name. The steps are short:
- Copy a name from the generator or a card above.
- Open your profile in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and choose the rename option.
- Paste and confirm. Long-press the name field to paste, then check the name is accepted — names must be unique, so a popular one may already be taken.
On cost, the figures reported by ONE Esports are a rename card at 239 diamonds from the shop, a discounted 50 diamonds route through Season Quests if you have topped up at least three times, and a free first change on a new account that has never been renamed. Prices and event routes change with updates, so confirm the number in your own shop before buying — and note that this is Mobile Legends pricing specifically. Several name-generator pages quote Free Fire’s rename price on MLBB pages; the two games are unrelated on this point.
If you also play Garena’s battle royale, our Free Fire name style page covers that game’s own rename rules and blank-name characters, which work differently.
Fancy fonts are Unicode, not installable fonts
Every “font” in this generator is a set of Unicode characters, not a typeface you download. That distinction decides where a styled name works. It works in your Mobile Legends in-game name, your profile and bio fields, and display names on Instagram, WhatsApp and imo. It does not work in an @username handle, which accepts only plain letters, numbers, dots and underscores.
Two honest limitations worth knowing. First, rendering depends on the device: a glyph your phone lacks shows as an empty box for you, and the same name may look perfect for someone else. Second, Mobile Legends filters names, so an unusual symbol can be refused even when it is valid Unicode — if a name is rejected, remove the outermost symbols first and keep the styled letters.
For the same styling applied to any name or platform, the universal generator on NameStylish covers every style on this page plus more.
Frequently asked questions
What is a good MLBB username?
A good MLBB username is short enough to survive the rename box, readable at lobby size, and unique. Because a decorative frame costs 4 to 9 of your characters, the practical sweet spot is a 4 to 8 letter core — “Rayan”, “Zaid”, “Kiran” — wrapped in one frame rather than a long name squeezed into brackets. Readable beats crowded: symbols stacked three deep turn into a smudge on a phone screen.
What is a cool name in ML?
Cool names in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang usually come from one of four looks: the sweaty bracket style ꧁༒☬ … ☬༒꧂, a clean bold or small-caps tag, a crown or blade accent such as ♛ or ⚔, and squad tags in capitals. All four are in the copy grids above, and each card shows its exact character count so you know it will fit before you spend anything.
How do I copy an MLBB name?
Tap any name card on this page and it is copied to your clipboard immediately — there is no download and no sign-up. Then open Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, go to your profile, tap the rename option, and long-press the name field to paste. If the paste looks plain in your browser but styled in the game, that is normal: your browser font may lack the glyph while your phone has it.
Which name is best in MLBB?
There is no single best name, but there is a best-fitting one. Because names must be unique, the practical winner is a short core you actually like plus one frame, which leaves room to swap a symbol if the exact name is taken. Test the length first: our tables show that the ▄︻デ frame leaves only 7 letters, so a nine-letter name will simply be rejected.
Do fancy fonts work in the Mobile Legends rename box?
The styled letters are Unicode characters, not an installed font, so the rename box treats them as ordinary text and they show on your profile and in the lobby. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang does filter names, so an occasional symbol can be rejected — if that happens, drop the outer frame and keep the styled letters, which are accepted far more consistently.
