imo Name Style — Stylish Names & Group Names

Type your name, pick a beautiful font style and copy it instantly. 100% free.

An imo name style is the name on your imo profile rewritten with fancy Unicode letters and decorative symbols — ᰔᩚRahim✿ or ꧁༒•Sumaiya•༒꧂ instead of plain “Rahim”. Type your name in the generator above, tap a result and it is copied, ready to paste into imo’s profile screen. The same styling works on a group name and a group topic. One thing worth knowing before you start: this only restyles Latin letters. We ran the same name in four scripts on 19 August 2026 — a Latin name came back with 138 styled variants, a Bangla or Urdu name with 13, and none of those 13 changed a single letter. What an imo name style is, and where it shows

An imo name style is your display name written in special Unicode characters, and on imo it appears in four separate places: your profile name, the name shown in every one-to-one chat, your name inside a group, and — separately — the group’s own name and topic. It is not an app, a font download or a mod; the styled letters are ordinary text that already exists in the Unicode standard, which is why they survive being typed into a chat app at all.

Worth saying plainly, because the search results for this topic do not: most pages ranking for “imo name style” are generic nickname pages built around the word “Imo” treated as a person’s first name. That is a different thing from styling your name on the imo messenger, which is what this page is about.

How to set a stylish name for imo

Setting a stylish name for imo takes three steps and costs nothing — imo has no rename card and no cooldown fee.

  1. Generate the name in the tool at the top of this page, or copy a ready-made one from the lists below.
  2. Open imo → your profile and tap your current name to edit it.
  3. Paste and save. If a symbol disappears or the field refuses the text, delete that one symbol and keep the rest — it is nearly always a single decorative character, not the styled letters.

If you want the same name across your other apps, the styling is portable: copy once and paste it anywhere that accepts a display name.

These are real output from the generator above rather than a hand-typed list, so you can reproduce any of them by entering the same name. Tap a card to copy it.

imo group names and group topic names

A group name and a group topic are two different fields on imo, and both accept the same styled Unicode text as a personal name. The group name is what members see in their chat list; the topic sits inside the group as a short description, so it takes longer strings comfortably.

imo group name ideas — 32 ready-to-copy styled group and family names
Group names run longer than personal names, so decorative frames cost proportionally less.

Below are styled versions of the group names people actually use on imo — family groups, friend groups and couple groups. Longer names leave room for a frame that would swallow a short personal name.

Choosing a group name is easier than a personal one: it is changed freely by any admin, so there is no cost to trying a style and swapping it next week.

Bangla and Urdu names — the honest answer

A stylish name generator cannot restyle Bangla, Urdu or Devanagari letters, and it is worth knowing that before you spend time looking. We measured it: the same generator that returns 138 distinct styled variants for the Latin name “Rahim” returns 13 for the Bangla রহিম, the Urdu رحیم and the Devanagari रोहित — and in all three cases the letters themselves are untouched. Only the decoration around the name changes.

Bangla and Urdu imo name style — 138 Latin variants versus 13 for a Bangla name
Same generator, same day: 138 variants for a Latin name against 13 for a Bangla one.
What our generator returns for the same request in four scripts. Run on 19 August 2026, 40 passes per name so the random decoration set was exhausted. “Results” counts distinct outputs and “Restyled” counts how many of them actually changed the shape of the letters; “decorated” means only the symbols around the name changed.
Script Example Results Restyled
Latin Rahim 138 125
Bangla রহিম 13 0
Urdu رحیم 13 0
Devanagari रोहित 13 0

The reason is in Unicode itself rather than in any one tool. Unicode contains whole alternate alphabets for Latin A–Z — the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block is where 𝐁𝐨𝐥𝐝, 𝕯𝖔𝖚𝖇𝖑𝖊 and 𝓢𝓬𝓻𝓲𝓹𝓽 letters come from. No equivalent block exists for Bangla, Arabic or Devanagari, so there is simply nothing to map those letters onto. Any site promising “Bangla stylish fonts” is either decorating around your name or swapping your letters for lookalikes from another script, which quietly changes what the name says.

So what actually works. Two things. Keep your name in correct Bangla or Urdu spelling and add decoration around it — that is what the samples below do, and the spelling stays exactly right. Or write your name in Latin letters and style those, which is why “Rahim” and “রহিম” get such different results from the same tool. What you should not do is accept a “styled” Bangla name that has silently replaced your letters.

Bangla name decorations

Every one of these keeps the Bangla spelling byte-for-byte intact — only the frame changes.

Urdu name decorations

These stay right-to-left and keep the letters joined, which is the part a careless decoration breaks.

Symbols and frames to build your own

Building a name yourself takes a styled word, a frame around it and a small symbol to finish. These are grouped that way, and they suit imo’s audience rather than a gaming lobby.

Small symbols to sit beside a name

Frames and brackets

Longer decorative sets

If any of these shows as an empty box on the screen you are reading now, that is your device missing a glyph rather than a broken character — the same text usually renders correctly inside imo on a phone.

Fancy fonts are Unicode, not installable fonts

“Fancy fonts” is a misleading name for what these are: you are not installing a font, you are copying characters that already exist in Unicode, which is exactly why they paste into an app that never offered a font picker. Two consequences follow, and both bite people regularly.

First, a display name accepts styled text but an @username handle does not. Handles across social apps are restricted to plain letters, digits and a couple of punctuation marks. On imo this rarely trips people up, because imo identifies you by phone number rather than a handle — but the same styled name you use here will be rejected as an Instagram or TikTok handle while working fine as the display name there.

Second, any system that runs Unicode normalisation (NFKC) collapses many styled letters back to plain A–Z. The heavily decorated frames survive it because they are separate symbols, but a name whose styling lives entirely in the letters can revert to plain text when it passes through a system that normalises.

The same rules apply on every platform, with different length limits — our guide to PUBG Mobile and BGMI clan tag styles works through what happens when a field is only a few characters wide, and the Free Fire name style page covers a game that blocks specific characters outright, and the same question about non-Latin scripts comes back for Arabic and Urdu names in Yalla voice rooms and Yalla Ludo tables, where we counted how many of the 110 results reshape the letters at all. The universal tool for any app is on NameStylish.

FAQ

How can I make my imo name unique?

Combine three parts rather than picking one ready-made name: a styled version of your own name, a frame that few people use, and one small symbol. The generator above gives you the first part in 138 variants for a Latin name; the frames and symbols further up this page supply the other two. A name assembled from three choices is far less likely to collide than a name copied whole from a list.

Can I get a stylish Bangla name for imo?

You can decorate a Bangla name but you cannot restyle the letters, because Unicode has no styled Bangla alphabet to map them to. Measured on our generator on 19 August 2026, a Bangla name returns 13 variants and all 13 keep the original spelling. Either decorate the correct Bangla spelling, or write the name in Latin letters and style those.

Does changing my imo name cost anything?

No. imo has no rename card or fee — you edit the name on your profile and save, as often as you like. That is unlike most games, where renaming is a paid item.

How do I set a stylish imo group name?

Any group admin can edit the group name and the group topic, and both fields accept the same styled Unicode text as a personal name. Because group names are longer, a decorative frame takes up proportionally less of the field than it would on a short personal name.

Are there different imo name styles for girls?

The styling is identical — what differs is which decoration people choose. The girls’ list above leans on flowers, hearts and soft frames, the boys’ list on sharper symbols, but any style on this page works with any name.
