Sad Stylish Name — Alone, Broken Heart & Sad Boy Names

A sad stylish name is a short alone, broken-heart or bewafa name styled with Unicode characters, not an installed font. Copy any of 157 here — sad boy, alone girl, broken heart — each one counted, so you know before pasting whether it fits a 12-character game tag.

✎

A sad stylish name is your name or a mood word — Sad Boy, Alone Girl, Broken Heart — written in Unicode letters such as 𝓢𝓪𝓭 𝓑𝓸𝔂 and marked with a broken heart 💔, a wilted rose 🥀 or a crying face (╥﹏╥). Type a name into the box above to style it, or copy one of the 157 names and symbols below. Before you paste the famous ×͜×ㅤ𝙰𝙻𝙾𝙽𝙴ㅤ𝙱𝙾𝚈 into a game, know that it is 13 characters long and its gaps are a character Free Fire no longer accepts — the short versions further down fit.

Sad boy and sad girl names

Sad boy stylish name and sad stylish name boy are the two ways most people search for this, and the names they want are short phrases more than single words — Fake Smile, Silent Tears, No Feelings. Thin, script and blackletter alphabets carry the mood best; heavy bold letters tend to read as attitude instead, which is a different lane with its own royal, killer and silent names.

Alone girl and alone boy names

Alone girl stylish name is searched more than any other phrase on this page, ahead of alone boy. Not every alone name is sad: Happy Alone and Alone Queen are about liking your own company, so they sit here with a moon or a flower rather than a broken heart.

The Free Fire alone boy name, measured

“×͜× free fire name alone boy” is one of the most searched names in the whole sad lane, and the version passed around most is ×͜×ㅤ𝙰𝙻𝙾𝙽𝙴ㅤ𝙱𝙾𝚈. We took it apart character by character. Two things stop it working as a game name: the gaps between the words are Hangul Fillers (U+3164), which Free Fire has refused since its OB43 update, and the whole name is 13 characters where the Free Fire box holds 12.

Five versions of the alone boy name, counted on 13 September 2026. “Units” is UTF-16, the count some name fields use; styled letters cost two each.

Plain capitals ×͜× ALONE BOY 13 13 U+00A0 no-break space No
Short, plain ×͜× ALONE 9 9 U+00A0 no-break space Yes
Short, styled ×͜× 𝙰𝙻𝙾𝙽𝙴 9 14 U+00A0 no-break space Only if the box counts characters

The ×͜× itself is three characters — two multiplication signs and a combining double breve (U+035C) that draws the curve between them — so it eats a quarter of a 12-character box before the name starts. Why U+00A0 is the gap that still works in Free Fire is covered in the blank and invisible characters guide. Every card below is 12 characters or fewer, with the count on the card.

Alone name style, alone nickname, alone stylish name: one name, four boxes

The three phrases people search with — alone name style, alone nickname, alone stylish name — all describe the same string of characters; what differs is the box you are about to paste it into, and those boxes are not the same size. A game tag holds far less than an Instagram display name, and a styled letter costs double in some of them.

So we counted all 12 of the short names above against the four field sizes that actually come up, on 25 September 2026. “Characters” is what you see; “units” is UTF-16, the count a stricter field uses, where every bold or monospace letter costs two.

Every short sad and alone name on this page, counted both ways against four field sizes. Measured 25 September 2026.

💔 ALONE 7 8 Yes Yes Yes Yes
LONELY ×͜× 10 10 Yes Yes Yes Yes

The pattern in that table is the useful part. 10 of 12 clear a 12-unit game tag, 11 of 12 clear 16, and all 12 clear 20 and 30. Every one that fails is a styled one — the plain capitals and the small-caps versions never do, because their letters cost one unit each. An alone girl name style or an alone boy stylish name in plain letters will go anywhere; the same name in bold monospace is the one that gets rejected, and it gets rejected for a reason you can count in advance rather than discover in the app.

If the box you are filling is a harder-edged one than a sad name suits, the attitude and killer names are collected on the same tree branch and travel through the same count — they are just as easy to fit inside a short tag once you know what a styled letter costs.

A sad fancy name is not a font

Nothing on this page is a font, and that is worth knowing before you paste: a fancy name is ordinary Unicode text — characters that already exist in the standard — which is exactly why it survives a copy and paste into an app that has never heard of this site. There is nothing to install and nothing that can fail to download.

It also sets the boundaries of where a sad fancy name works. A display name, a bio and an in-game name are free-text fields, so they take these characters. An @username or handle is restricted by design to letters, digits, dots and underscores, so it refuses them — which is also why people can still find you by typing plain letters.

Which sad styles survive normalising, and which quietly revert

Any system that normalises text with NFKC folds many styled letters back to plain ones. Of the 93 styles on this site, measured on 12 September 2026 against Unicode 9.0.0 data, 12 revert to the exact plain spelling, one reverts in capitals, two turn into different text and 78 come through untouched.

For this page that split is good news rather than bad. The pieces that make a sad name look sad — the combining double breve inside ×͜×, the crying kaomoji, the rain and broken-heart marks — sit in the 78 that survive, because they are decorations rather than substituted letters. The ones that revert are the bold and script alphabets, so a name built on 𝙰𝙻𝙾𝙽𝙴 can come back as ALONE in a field that normalises, while ×͜× stays exactly as it was. Pick the decoration if you want it durable, and the styled letters if you want it striking.

Broken heart and heartless names

Broken heart names lean on the heart itself: 💔 for the break, 🖤 for numbness, ❤️‍🩹 for a heart that is mending. Heartless, Stone Heart and Black Heart are the colder side of the same feeling. The mending heart looks like one emoji but is four characters glued together, which matters in a tight box — the table further down shows what it costs.

Bewafa, dard and tanha names

A lot of sad names in India and Pakistan are not English at all. Bewafa (unfaithful) is searched on its own and as a room name for sad-song groups; dard is pain, tanha is lonely, judai is separation and khamoshi is silence. They are written here in Latin letters so every style in the generator can dress them — for the same words in Urdu script, where the letters stay as they are and the frame does the work, see Urdu stylish names.

Crying faces, broken hearts and rain

The pieces sad names are built from, one at a time. Of the 301 sad and crying text faces in the decoration library we curate from, 104 (35%) draw their tears with combining marks — tiny accents stacked under an eye, as in (˚ ˃̣̣̥⌓˂̣̣̥), which is 13 characters although it looks like seven. A name field that strips combining marks leaves (˚ ˃⌓˂): the face survives, the tears do not. How fields treat combining marks in general is in which symbols survive a name field.

Text faces built from ordinary Unicode characters, not emoji pictures. Many use a combining mark for the tear, which is why the same face can look slightly different on two phones.

Which sad emoji show as a box

An emoji only draws if the phone’s font already knows it, so the age of a sad emoji decides who sees a box. We checked each one’s code points and ran it against Unicode 9.0 data from 2016: anything missing there is newer, and a phone that has not updated since is the likeliest to show an empty box.

💔 Broken heart 1 2 Unicode 6.0, 2010 Yes
💧 Droplet 1 2 Unicode 6.0, 2010 Yes
🌧️ Cloud with rain 2 3 Unicode 7.0, 2014 Yes
🖤 Black heart 1 2 Unicode 9.0, 2016 Yes
🥀 Wilted flower 1 2 Unicode 9.0, 2016 Yes
❤️‍🩹 Mending heart 4 5 Emoji 13.1, 2020 No
🩶 Grey heart 1 2 Unicode 15.0, 2022 No

The mending heart fails more gently than the grey one. It is a red heart and a bandage joined by an invisible zero-width joiner, so a phone that does not know the combination shows the two pieces side by side, ❤️🩹, rather than a box. The grey heart has no fallback. If a name has to look the same to everyone, use 🖤 or 💔. Why a box appears at all is explained in why a stylish name shows as boxes.

If the sad name is more than a mood: talking to someone helps more than any name. In India, Tele-MANAS is a free, 24-hour mental health helpline run by the government — call 14416 or 1-800-891-4416.

FAQ

How do I make a sad stylish name?

Type your name into the box at the top of this page and pick a style — script and thin letters read as quiet and sad better than bold ones. Then add one mood mark before or after it: 💔, 🥀, a raindrop, or a crying face such as (╥﹏╥). One mark is usually enough; a name buried in symbols stops reading as a name.

What is the ×͜× in alone boy names?

It is three characters, not one: a multiplication sign ×, a combining double breve below (U+035C) that draws the little curve joining the two, and a second ×. It is best known from Free Fire names and costs three characters of your name box before a single letter.

Why does the alone boy name I copied not fit in my game?

The most copied version, ×͜×ㅤ𝙰𝙻𝙾𝙽𝙴ㅤ𝙱𝙾𝚈, is 13 characters — one over a 12-character box — and its styled letters count as two units each where a field counts UTF-16. Its gaps are Hangul Fillers (U+3164), which Free Fire has blocked since OB43. ×͜× ALONE with a no-break space is 9 characters and fits.

Why do some sad emoji show as a box?

The phone’s font is older than the emoji. The broken heart 💔 dates from 2010 and shows almost everywhere; the grey heart 🩶 was only added in 2022, so a phone that has not had a system update since then draws an empty box instead.

What do bewafa, dard and tanha mean?

They are Hindi and Urdu words used in sad names across India and Pakistan: bewafa means unfaithful, dard means pain, tanha means lonely, judai is separation, yaadein are memories, adhura means incomplete and khamoshi means silence.
